Since 2002 our team has been conducting professional EMDR therapy basic trainings that are accredited by the EMDR Institute (USA) and EMDR Asia, and align with the “Approved EMDR Training Curriculum” of EMDRIA (EMDR International Association). Trainees who complete the training of EMDR Hong Kong (EMDRHK) receive a Certificate of Completion, and are listed in the Registry of EMDR Therapists in Hong Kong. This Certificate of Completion is well recognized not only in Hong Kong but also globally in the USA, Europe and Asia.
EMDRHK is the sole EMDR authority in Hong Kong, which is exclusively acknowledged and endorsed by EMDR Asia, and fully devoted to meeting the needs of Hong Kong.
Mission Statements
For Therapists:
- To offer comprehensive and professional EMDR therapy training to psychologists, counselors, and other therapists in Hong Kong.
- To address all the needs of the EMDR therapy community in Hong Kong, including regular refreshers and updates, supervision for therapists handling complex cases, and a platform for discussion among therapists.
For the Public:
- To maintain a publicly accessible Registry of all therapists who have completed the full EMDR therapy basic training, who are fully qualified and authorized to provide EMDR therapy in Hong Kong.
- To provide a “Find an EMDR Therapist” list for individuals in our community who need EMDR therapy.
We specialize in training professionals in EMDR therapy. After completing the training, we offer additional professional support to our graduates. This includes consultation services, supervision, and opportunities for refresher courses. Our focus is strictly on the professional application of the EMDR technique, and we do not engage in activities beyond this scope.
